Terms of Service

Last updated: March 12, 2026

1. Definitions

By accessing or using the Forge API (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. "You" means the person or organization authorizing API use. "Forge," "we," and "us" refer to Forge Inc. and its affiliates. "API" means the Forge Weather and Geocoding APIs and associated documentation.

2. Service Description

Forge provides REST APIs for weather forecasting and geocoding. The Service is provided as-is on a subscription basis. Access tiers (Free, Starter, Pro, Enterprise) have defined rate limits and monthly quotas as described in our pricing terms.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) reverse-engineer or scrape the Service; (b) use the Service for competitive data collection or to build a weather/geocoding competitor; (c) resell API access without authorization; (d) send unsolicited bulk requests intended to disrupt the Service; (e) access the Service on behalf of sanctioned entities or persons.

4. Rate Limits and Quotas

Each plan has defined rate limits (requests per minute) and monthly quotas. Overages return HTTP 429. Repeated abuse may result in account termination. Enterprise accounts have custom limits via contract.

5. Intellectual Property

All API content, data, documentation, and software are owned by Forge or licensed to Forge and are protected by applicable copyright laws. You may use the Service solely as authorized by these Terms.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Forge shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use the Service, even if advised of possibility of such damages.

7. Termination

Forge may terminate your account for breach of these Terms or abuse. You may cancel paid accounts anytime via your dashboard. Termination is effective at end of current billing period.

8. Changes to Terms

Forge reserves the right to modify these Terms. Material changes trigger 30-day notice via email. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
